Log In with New Wi-Fi Service on AirTran Flights

Got work to do? Want to research a destination en route? Simply want to Twitter about the flight? Now it’s possible with the addition of Wi-Fi service to all AirTran flights starting this summer.

Service will be provided by Gogo, which says on their website they are fully compatible with all Wi-Fi-enabled laptops, as well as select smartphones and other handheld devices. A full listing of currently supported handhelds can be found at their website.

Gogo is offering several pricing options, ranging from $9.95 for all devices on flights 3 hours in length or shorter to a 30-day unlimited pass $49.95 (a great deal for those business road warriors out there). For those just using smartphones or PDAs (no laptops), they also offer a $7.95 connection pass, regardless of flight length.
