Cheap and discount airline tickets and budget fares are available on American low-cost airlines flying non-stop from many USA cities to Cancun Airport (CUN) in Mexico.

Increasingly, American low-cost airlines are turning south to Mexico. Non-stop flights on budget airlines from various US cities including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC are now available to Cancun. Competition means lower fares on the busier routes. Full-service airlines such as American, Continental, and United are responding with cheaper fares too on slow-selling flights. Flight volumes are expected to increase ensuring lower ticket prices on Cancun vacation packages.

Tips on Getting Cheap Fares to Cancun

  • Use Internet resources

Flexibility, time, and research are the keys to getting the cheapest tickets and lowest airfares on flights to Cancun. Numerous reservation services are available that compare fares between routes and over a number of days. Some even help to predict when airfares will get cheaper or more expensive. A little research can save dollars.

  • Establish a base price

Use any major on-line reservation service to check regularly available prices on the preferred route on the preferred dates. Use this baseline price to compare other routes and dates to decide whether savings, if any, are worth any additional hassle.

  • Book a Cancun vacation package

A traditional Cancun vacation package with hotel accommodation and flights included usually works out cheaper than separate flight and hotel reservations.

  • Use a low-cost carrier

Low cost carriers are increasingly moving into the US-Mexican market with more discounted non-stop flights available to Mexico. (Some routes listed below are seasonal and some do not operate on a daily basis.)

  • Check traditional airline prices

Flexibility is the key here – cheap tickets are available on slow-selling flights. Only non-stop flights are listed below. Although non-stop flights are often more expensive than connecting flights, consider first whether the saving is sufficient to make up for the extra time, hassle, as well as the risk of missing a connection and subsequently loosing a day of your Cancun beach vacation.
